Instructions for Presenters
Oral Presenters
The total time for each oral presentation is 20 minutes. Keeping oral sessions on time is very important for all speakers, so please rehearse your presentation so that your talk takes no more than 16 minutes, leaving three minutes for questions, and a full minute for the transition to the next paper.
All oral presenters are asked to bring their power point presentation for loading onto the appropriate computer the day prior to your presentation if at all possible. Please make sure your file title uses the following format: “Day_Time_LastName” (e.g. Sat_0910_Green.ppt). We will make a room available so that you may do some last minute practicing prior to your talk.
Please plan to arrive at your session at least 20 minutes prior to the starting time of the session, and find your session chair so that they can introduce you correctly, and rehearse with you the signals that they will use to ensure a timely presentation.
Posters
All posters will be displayed beginning at 10 a.m., Thursday November 10 and will be the focus of a special evening poster session. Please be sure that you get your poster set up by 10:00 AM on Thursday, and plan to stand by your poster to answer questions and field comments during the evening session. We will provide a firm posterboard with velcro-friendly fabric covering of 122 X 244 cm (4X8 feet) size (horizontal), upon which you can mount your poster materials with tape, velcro or pushpins (you need to provide the means to affix the poster). Please put your poster in the numbered space that corresponds to your assigned poster number.
